This page explains how analytics works on this site in plain English.
1. What we track
We use self-hosted Umami analytics to measure page views and general traffic patterns, such as pages visited, referral source, browser type, device type, and approximate location at country level.
2. What we do not track
We do not use Umami analytics to directly identify you as an individual person.
3. Cookies and profiling
Our analytics baseline is designed to be cookie-free and for simple audience measurement only. We do not use this analytics setup for behavioral profiling.
4. Legal basis (UK)
We use analytics for legitimate interests in understanding and improving website performance. Where applicable, we also rely on the UK PECR statistical purposes exception for strictly measurement-focused analytics.
5. Data sharing and retention
Analytics data is processed through our self-hosted Umami service at metrics.taylormadecode.com. We keep analytics data only as long as needed for reporting and site improvement.
